Cat-eye polishes contain fine metallic particles that respond to a magnet. Apply a coat as normal, then hold the magnet close over the wet gel for a few seconds before curing; the particles gather into a glowing line or swirl. Cure for 60 seconds under a Mylee LED lamp to lock the effect in place. Different magnet angles create different lines, so it's easy to experiment across your gel nail colours.

Getting the best cat-eye finish

Work one nail at a time so the gel is still wet when you use the magnet, and keep the magnet close without touching the polish. Two coats give the richest effect; seal with a top coat and cure again for a glassy, chip-free finish that lasts up to 3 weeks. Pair it with fine nail art for a modern, dimensional look.
