Mylee Cat Eye Gel Polish - Lovebug

STEP 1. PREP
File nails to shape and use a Mylee Buffing Block* to gently remove shine from the nail plate. Wipe your nails with a dash of Mylee 2-in-1 Nail Prep & Wipe* on a Lint Free Wipe* to remove any oils. If you’re prone to lifting, apply the Mylee Dehydrator* followed by the Mylee Acid-Free Primer*.

STEP 2. BASE
Apply a thin layer of your chosen Mylee Base Coat* and cure for 60 seconds using a Mylee LED Lamp*. For bold results, apply a black base like Mylee Witching Hour Gel Polish*, or experiment with other shades like purples and pinks for a twist, before curing. Repeat to build up colour if needed.

STEP 3. CAT-EYE
Apply a layer of Cat-Eye Gel Polish. Do not cure just yet. Hold the Mylee Magnet close to the nail for 10-15 seconds to create your desired effect, then cure for 60 seconds.

STEP 4. FINISH
Seal the deal with a Mylee Top Coat* and cure for 60 seconds. If using the regular Mylee Top Coat, remove the tacky layer with 2-in-1 Nail Prep & Wipe on a Lint Free Wipe. Alternatively skip this step and use a Mylee No-Wipe Top Coat! Wash your hands, apply Mylee Nail & Cuticle Oil*, moisturise, and enjoy your salon-quality mani for up to 3 weeks!

Store your Mylee gel nail polishes in a cool, dark place and do not expose them to sunlight as this can cause discolouration, fade the pigment, and pre-cure the nail lacquer, reducing the maximum quantity of nail polish in the bottle.

Go one nail at a time

• Apply the polish, use your magnet, and cure immediately. This locks the magnetic particles in place before they have a chance to shift. If you wait too long, the effect can soften or fade.

Get up close

• Hold the magnet as close as you can to the nail without touching it. The closer it is, the sharper and more defined the effect will be. Hover for 5–10 seconds to allow the design to form, then cure straight away.

Switch up your base

You’ve got options:

• For a subtle shimmer, apply 1–2 coats of Cat-Eye Gel and cure as normal.
• For a more intense look, try a layer of black gel polish underneath your Cat-Eye shade. Cure each layer before moving on for a rich, high-contrast finish.
