Tips & Tricks

Discover our tips and tricks to get the best results when applying your Gel Nail Wraps!

PREP:

  • Push back your cuticles, buff the nail slightly and cleanse with Prep & Wipe
  • Pop on the Mylee Nail Dehydrator before applying your wraps – it helps create the perfect base for serious staying power.

APPLICATION:

  • Size it right – Choose a wrap that’s slightly smaller than your nail bed. You can always stretch it out, but if it’s too big, it’ll overlap and lift.
  • Hands off the sticky bit – When peeling the wrap, only touch the end that won’t be sticking to your nail.
  • Close, but not too close – Apply the wrap as close to the cuticle as you can without touching it (or your skin).
  • Smooth it out – Press the wrap down firmly from base to tip. Use the angled end of your cuticle stick to press along the edges.
  • Trim it down – Snip the excess wrap along the free edge of your nail, keeping it close to your natural nail length.
  • Seal the deal – After trimming, press down firmly on the free edge to lock it in.

FILING:

  • Use a 180-grit file, filing in one direction only.
  • File from the outer edge inwards. No yanking or tugging – gentle and controlled is key to avoid lifting.

AFTER CARE:

  • Keep your nails dry – no water or oils for 2 hours post-application.
  • Cleaning up? Gloves on! Protect your mani when washing up or handling household products.

Step By Step

  • Prepare Your Nails

    Gently push back cuticles with a Wooden Cuticle Stick. Lightly buff nail plates with the 180 grit side of the Dual Nail File to remove shine. Wipe nails with a Lint Free Wipe soaked in Prep & Wipe to eliminate oils for better wrap adhesion.

  • Stick & Wrap

    Choose your favorite design and match each wrap to your nail size. Remove the clear film, press the wrap onto the nail, and smooth out air bubbles. Use the Wooden Stick to press edges, then trim any extra with Curved Scissors.

  • File

    Shape the free edge of each nail with a nail file to seal the wrap and prevent lifting. File in one direction for a smooth finish. This final step locks everything in—now you’re set for up to 14 days of glossy, chip-free wear.

  • Removal

    Apply Stick & Wrap Remover Oil around each nail and let it soak for a few moments. Use the Wooden Stick to gently lift and slide off the wrap as the oil breaks the bond. Wipe away any residue and wash hands to finish clean and fresh.
